Data collection depends on which features you use:

All your reading activity is stored locally in the app's IndexedDB database. This includes your books, reading sessions, highlights, vocabulary lists, and progress. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
You can delete all local data at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings → Apps → SpeedReader247 → Storage → Clear Data.
Cloud sync is entirely optional. If you choose to sign in, your reading progress, books, and bookmarks are synced to Supabase (our backend provider) so you can access them across devices.
When you sign in, we collect your email address for authentication only. We do not use it for marketing. Your synced reading data is stored in a private, access-controlled database. It is not visible to other users.
You can delete your account and all cloud data at any time from within the app or by contacting info@speedreader247.com.
SpeedReader247 integrates the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy.
Used to display ads on the free tier. AdMob may collect your Android Advertising ID, device model, OS version, and ad interaction data to serve relevant ads. Ads are disabled for subscribers. You can opt out of personalized ads in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
Google Privacy Policy →Used to manage in-app subscriptions and verify purchase status. RevenueCat receives your device ID, app user ID, and purchase history from the Google Play Store. RevenueCat does not receive your name or email address.
RevenueCat Privacy Policy →Used for authentication and cloud storage if you sign in. Supabase stores your email address and reading data on servers in the European Union (EU-West-1). Supabase is GDPR-compliant and processes data under standard contractual clauses.
Supabase Privacy Policy →Collects anonymous usage data (page views, navigation patterns, performance metrics) to help us improve the app experience. Data collected includes page URLs visited, session duration, device type, and browser type. No personal data, no cookies, no IP tracking.

SpeedReader247 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy when the app adds new features or integrations. Material changes will be announced in the app. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
